Turner Hill – Mansion Renovation
Ipswich, MA
One of the region's most sought-after wedding and golfing destinations, the mansion at Turner Hill was completed in 1903, but after more than a century, significant restoration was required in order to continue meeting the high expectations of Turner Hill's distinguished guests. With a firm understanding of the need to preserve the mansion's historic charm, Connolly Brothers was enlisted for preconstruction, design coordination, and construction management work on the project.

Connolly also provided preconstruction, design coordination, and construction management services for Turner Hill's golf club facilities (clubhouse, locker rooms, dining facilities, commercial kitchen, and pro shop). Working with Olson Lewis Dioli & Doktor Architects and Planners Incorporated, Connolly leveraged preconstruction cost modeling and value engineering to achieve the goal of a luxurious facility within a reasonable budget.

The mansion features hand-molded plaster ceilings, hardwood oak floors, hand-carved fixtures and paneling, and meticulously crafted wall friezes. Connolly ensured that all involved in the project proceeded with extreme care to preserve and restore the intricate wood and plaster work throughout the grand spaces of this turn-of-the-century jewel.
