HighRes Biosolutions
Beverly, MA
Growing rapidly since its founding in 2004, HighRes Biosolutions—which designs and builds innovative robotic systems and laboratory devices used internationally by pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, and academic research laboratories—needed a new world headquarters. With offices on the west coast and in the UK, and a global service presence, HRB knew it wanted to remain in Eastern Massachusetts given the area's skilled labor pool and proximity to many well-regarded institutions of higher education.

Connolly Brothers was chosen to design, permit, and build the two-story, 80,000 square-foot facility. The resulting campus includes, as stated on the HRB website, “offices, assembly area, machine shop, electronics shop, and a showroom in which customers can view demonstrations of our integrated systems, storage devices, instruments, and software."

The project featured a challenging timetable necessitated by a need to avoid an impending lease expiration at HRB's former facility. Fortunately, the Connolly team was more than up to the challenge, productively collaborating with HRB on schematic designs, budget, and real estate development in order to quickly get the company resettled in its new home in the Beverly, Mass. Cherry Hill Industrial Park.
