Eastern Yacht Club
Marblehead, MA
Connolly Brothers has been an integral partner for Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead, Mass. for generations. Built in the 1870s, EYC is one of the oldest yacht clubs in America.

EYC Racquets Facility Project
In 2021, Connolly redesigned the club's south campus, which now features a new 2,400 SF full-service racquets facility incorporating two new clay tennis courts, three paddle tennis courts with warming hut, and a stylish and cozy clubhouse that invites members to connect and relax before or after a match.

Reconstruction of Clubhouse
Previously, Connolly was instrumental in renovating the clubhouse after the facility was substantially damaged by fire. The project included adding a new sailing center under the club's famous Samoset Porch and a multipurpose function room housing the Sailing Office, a new bar, members' locker rooms, and a children's camp area.

The project involved removing and replacing all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, and all ground floor structural systems underwent a massive overhaul. Failing wood load-bearing walls and old field stone foundations were replaced with concrete foundations, footings, and a steel structural framing system. With the addition of modern HVAC systems, wiring, and LED lighting, Eastern Yacht Club emerged better than ever in the wake of the fire.
