Project Scope:
Connolly was called upon to renovate the exterior façade for a multi-tenant retail complex located on a busy urban corner lot in Central Square. The existing façade consisted of aluminum paneling and wood clapboards which were completely removed. The new façade features an upper band of exterior insulation finish system (EIFS) and a lower band of a thin brick system.
Careful planning and coordination with local authorities was required to ensure that pedestrian and vehicular traffic would not be disrupted throughout the duration of the project. Two levels of staging were used to allow work to take place safely while providing an open access corridor for pedestrians and unobstructed access to storefront entrances. Using its design-build approach, Connolly was able to efficiently complete the project in just over two months.
