ST. GEORGE GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH -
Lynn, Massachusetts Exo-Narthex Construction/Art Glass Window Replacement Architect: CJK Design Group Pre Construction Construction Management Construction Administration General Contractor
The $2.2M project involved the demolition of an existing 60' masonry bell tower, concrete stairs, concrete sidewalks and masonry planters for the construction of an exo-narthex at an existing Greek Orthodox church. Connolly worked closely with CJK Design Group of San Francisco, California to carefully budget, plan, detail and construct the ornate brick and pre-cast structure.
The entry included two gold-domed towers, decorative iron gates, stamped/colored concrete walkways, ornamental bronze doors, and impressive art glass windows. The existing windows on either side of the church were also removed and replaced with art glass windows highlighted by brick surrounds. In addition, a new HVAC system was incorporated into the towers to better serve the sanctuary of the church. |
