Our History

Established in 1880, Connolly is an open-shop/merit shop general construction contractor and construction management firm based in Beverly, Massachusetts specializing in private industrial, commercial, and institutional General and Design/Build construction.

We are currently in our fourth generation of family leadership. Today, owner Stephen J. Connolly IV is just as involved in client projects as was his great-grandfather, Stephen J. Connolly and his three brothers when they founded the company over 128 years ago.

We are dedicated to providing quality, professional construction services to our clients. Our years of experience enable us to price and budget more accurately, manage more effectively, and add value at every stage in the construction process.

We are proud of the fact that year-in and year-out, over 70% of our clients return to Connolly with plans for new construction projects.
